Sedera is a Medical Cost Sharing Community that works alongside FixCare to help with life’s large and unexpected healthcare expenses. Together, they offer a complete solution for individuals, families, and small businesses looking for an affordable, non-insurance way to manage healthcare.
What is Sedera?
Sedera is a Medical Cost Sharing community—a group of like-minded individuals who voluntarily share in each other’s large and unexpected medical expenses. It's NOT insurance. There are no contracts, no provider networks, and no deductibles.
Instead, members contribute monthly to support one another when significant medical events
arise—things like hospitalizations, surgeries, or complex treatments.
Important: Sedera is NOT health insurance. It is a membership-based program built around voluntary sharing.
How It Works
1. Join the Community
Become part of the Sedera Medical Cost Sharing Community and commit to the community’s principles.
2. Live Your Life
Use your FixCare resources for everyday care: primary care visits, labs, medications, and more.
3. When Something Big Happens
If a larger medical need arises, you pay an Initial Unshareable Amount (IUA), then submit a Need to the Sedera community. *Do not pay the bills up front , just ask the Healthcare provider for a good faith estimate or have a Hospital to bill you for services.
4. Voluntary Sharing
Eligible expenses beyond your IUA may be shared by the community, in accordance with Sedera’s guidelines.
